Where to Roller Skate or Skateboard in Hamilton

Where in Hamilton to Inline Skate , Roller Skate, Skateboard and or Longboard.

Here’s some trials in Hamilton that can be used for In-line Skating, Roller Skating and Longboarding. I personally have not yet used them, but soon will try them out and give everyone my two cents. If anyone has suggestion, review, or other trails you know please let me know we can post it here to let others know: email varnettasports@gmail.com.

Bayfront and Pier 4 Park Recreational Trail

Bayfront Park, located off Bay Street North near Simcoe Street West, offers a multi-use asphalt pathway 1.4 kilometres in length. The path connects with the Pier 4 Park trail which is .35 kilometres long. Users can enjoy panoramic views of the harbour and Bayfront Park.

The Breezeway Trail (maintained by Hamilton Conservation Authority)

The Breezeway Trail is located along the eastern shore of Lake Ontario. This asphalt-surface trail extends along Hamilton Beach from Beach Boulevard to Grays Road, is approximately 3 kilometres long, and has a beautiful view of Lake Ontario.

Desjardins Recreational Trail

This quiet, 1 kilometre long trail extends from Kay Drage Park and along the Chedoke Creek to Cootes Paradise. The trail then crosses the creek and connects to Hamilton Harbour Waterfront Trail.

Cootes Drive

This path goes from Sanders Boulevard, Hamilton, to Dundas/Thorpe Street, Dundas. The trail is 2.5 kilometres long, but has a 3-4% grade in places.

Harvey Park

Harvey Park is located on the west side of Hamilton Harbour, adjacent to Dundurn Castle and across the street from Hamilton Cemetery. The 1.6 kilometre long trail takes you to the High Level Bridge and offers views of the harbour. A set of stairs is located near the High Level Bridge, which provides access to the Hamilton Harbour Waterfront Trail.

Hamilton Waterfront Outdoor Rink Pier 8

The Hamilton Waterfront Trust together with a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation provides an outdoor rink for public use. For more information visit the following link: Hamilton Waterfront Outdoor Rink Pier 8

200 Hamilton Street, Waterdown. A mid-sized skate park with many amenities.

Parkdale Skateboard Park
20 Parkdale Ave South, Hamilton. A Simple skate park with basic amenities.
